FAQs

A few Frequently Asked Questions, in case you had one.
FAQ 1: Are the materials provided in this course sufficient?

finRGB's 'Comprehensive' is a self contained course which contains all that you'd need to do well in your Part I / Part II exams. The videos and handouts / summaries are in-depth, there are interactive question sets with detailed solutions, and timely instructor support is available when you have doubts or when you feel stuck.

FAQ 2: Is any element of the course available in hard copy or physical format?

No, the course contents i.e. videos, handouts / summaries and question sets are purely offered via the online medium i.e. the finRGB portal.

FAQ 3: Can the videos be viewed in an offline mode? Are there any limits on the number of times they can be viewed?

The lecture videos require a working internet connection. While you can view them on any device (smartphone, desktop or tablet), they cannot be viewed in offline mode. To enable you to finish a video in a single sitting, its duration is kept short (typically 8-20 minutes) and it usually covers a single learning objective. Videos catering to relatively harder concepts may require multiple viewings, so there are no limits on the number of times any video can be viewed. The video player offers multiple playback speeds.

FAQ 4: Will I be provided with all course contents at the point of registration?

Unless there are substantial announced changes to the curriculum, Yes, you will. finRGB's self paced online course is structured as a 16-lesson course, with each lesson designed to be consumed in a span of approximately a week - you're welcome to set your own pace and consume it faster or slower. The topics / readings are sequentially arranged as per the study plan, which you're encouraged to adhere to. Since the curriculum is not static, but subject to a once-a-year update by GARP, there may be topics whose study materials (videos, handouts / summaries, quizzes) are updated while you're enrolled in the course. You'll be notified about such updates and changes when they happen.

FAQ 5: What methodology should I follow if I purchase the finRGB online course for FRM Exam?

The 16-lesson study plan assigns a certain number of prescribed readings to each lesson (3-4 readings / lesson for FRM Part I and 6-7 readings for FRM Part II). As a suggested methodology, you're required to watch all videos for each reading, alongside jot down your notes on printable handouts / summaries provided, and finally, attempt the quiz assigned to the chapter to help assimilate all concepts introduced in the videos.

FAQ 6: On a week by week basis, how much time investment am I looking at?

The study plan attempts to cover roughly 4 chapters of the curriculum in every lesson (6 chapters per lesson for Part II candidates). If you were to target finishing a lesson in a week's timeframe, it will require a time investment of roughly 12 hours per week - sustained over a period of roughly 3.5-4 months. The last 2-3 weeks prior to the exam will require a more concentrated effort - both for revision as well as additional practice.

FAQ 7: How long will I have access to my course contents?

The access to course content is valid till the "valid till" date mentioned on the course product page when the preparation course was purchased.

FAQ 8: Does 'Instructor Support' include support on telephone?

The 'Instructor Support' feature does not include support on chat / telephone. All questions / doubts should be directed to the designated email id for the purpose. Other aspects related to 'Instructor Support' are mentioned in Terms and Conditions.

FAQ 9: Is there a free trial available before I register?

A collection of sample videos are provided on the respective course pages. We urge you to view these before registering and ensure all aspects related to suitability of the course to your learning needs.

What They Said

A few kind words of appreciation from past candidates.

After I failed my FRM Part II exam the first time, I was looking for a source of support. And I have to admit that choosing finRGB and Bhuvnesh Khurana as my teacher was a great decision. Bhuvnesh is talented and he is able to explain even very complex topics in an understandable way. Moreover, the whole structure of his learning platform is a good mixture of lectures, comprehensive summaries and challenging quizzes. In the end I passed my exam with the help of Bhuvnesh. I can totally recommend his course and I am very grateful.

finRGB provides a perfect platform to prepare for the FRM exam. Bhuvnesh puts a lot of effort in clearing the concepts through his well articulated videos and quizzes on each topic. The way certain topics of Quant section, Options, Bonds and VaR were taught, it becomes quite evident that he has the highest level of expertise in the field of derivatives and risk management. I took the online comprehensive course for Part 1 but it never felt like it was an online course as he was always available to clear my doubts on the phone/email. Thank you Bhuvnesh for providing such a solid foundation without which I would not have been able to appear for the exam in a confident manner.

After having tried to study Part 2 on my own, I contacted Bhuvnesh Sir and I was truly inspired and amazed at his knowledge during our first conversation. An amazing human being and very knowledgeable about the FRM material and financial markets in general. His sessions provided a thorough explanation of the concepts and were highly engaging. He was available to clear doubts any time of the day and the online quizzes were extremely helpful in understanding the concepts. My heartfelt thanks to Bhuvnesh Sir for teaching me for my Part 2.

There is only one word that describes the FinRGB course – brilliant! I started my preparations for FRM with a local provider and rapidly realised that the quality of pedagogy was far from sufficient to clear the rigorous FRM exams successfully. I took a drastic decision midway to switch to FinRGB after watching some of their crisply structured swatches. This proved to be one of the wisest decisions in my preparation strategy. I passed both Part 1 and Part 2 with first quartiles in all modules and I give 100% of the credit to FinRGB. Their course material is extremely well laid out, problem sets are challenging and the reading materials are complemented with high quality exam focused summaries. Bhuvanesh’s team style is not just orientated to clearing the exam but building long term concepts and his expertise in the risk area is reflected all through the course. For those interested, the course also optionally offers a very quant based insight into the concepts. In instances where I was stuck with a problem set, prompt and almost immediate help was available and the explanations were insightful and detailed. I have personally interacted with Bhuvanesh and I truly wish I had him as faculty in my college days! If you are thinking about FRM take up FinRGB, it’s a fantastic course and probably best in class.
